Why does my stainless steel sink look like it’s rusting?

TThe discoloration on your stainless steel sink isn’t rust; it’s a light surface oxidization that can happen during manufacturing, transport, or if food debris is left for an extended period. Our high-quality T304 stainless steel is highly rust-resistant and very unlikely to rust unless exposed to industrial-grade chemicals. To restore its appearance, we recommend using Bar Keepers Friend cream cleanser with a soft cloth or sponge, gently rubbing along the grain to remove marks, hard water stains, and minor scratches. A couple of applications with a bit of effort may be needed, but it’ll leave your sink looking refreshed and help prevent future marks.

Why is my stainless steel sink scratching so quickly?

T304 stainless steel is a high-quality material, but daily use can lead to some initial scratching, which can be surprising at first. Over time, these scratches will blend naturally into the sink’s finish. To reduce their appearance, we recommend Bar Keepers Friend, which can help lessen the visibility of scratches, hard water stains, and marks. For added protection, using sink grids can help prevent scratches on the bottom of the sink

Why is my NuGranite Scratching?

All sinks can develop scratches over time. For our composite granite sinks, we recommend using our composite granite cleaner to improve the look of scratches, hard water stains, and minor chips—helping to restore the sink’s original finish. Adding a bit of baby oil overnight can also remove any ashy look for a fresh appearance.

Why is my shower making a knocking sound?

The knocking sound you hear is likely from the pressure balance slider built into the cartridge. In homes with older plumbing or in condos/apartments where multiple people are using water, sudden drops in pressure can cause the slider to engage, ensuring your safety while showering.
