What I Love About My Undermount Sink

In this modern era, there never seems to be enough time for anyone to get everything done. After coming home from work, you’ve only got a few hours to cook, eat, clean up the kitchen, exercise, take out the garbage, and clean the rest of your home, not to mention relaxing and enjoying your hobbies! That’s why it’s always important to keep an eye out when you’re shopping for time sucks that most people don’t notice.

I have recently discovered the joy that is having an undermount kitchen and bathroom sink. The time difference in my kitchen clean up routine now that I have an undermount is ridiculous! Instead of having to wipe off food scraps, crumbs, and spills and then move them to the garbage, I can just wipe them straight into my sink to be washed away! What’s more, since the sink is entirely underneath the counter, it completely eliminates the need to clean the top exposed part of a top mount sink, essentially turning two difficult, time consuming tasks into one that’s quick and easy!

No more trying to get grime out from the back at an awkward angle, no more getting frustrated dropping crumbs when moving them from counter to garbage, just a few easy swipes with a cloth and we’re done! With an undermount bathroom sink, the difference in time saving is the same. Not having to worry about cleaning the exposed ceramic above the counter makes cleaning up my bathroom counters a quick task instead of a dreaded chore.

If it’s a job you have to do regularly, every week or even every day, each second you can save is precious, because it’s multiplied by every time you have to repeat it! If it saves you one minute a night, we’re talking saving over six hours in a year! By giving yourself a few extra minutes a night, you can use more of your free time to do the other things that need to be done, and have more time to spend doing what you love.
